A Port St. Lucie man was arrested on Wednesday and charged with the manufacture and possession of an explosive device.
Bryan Spengler, 39, was taken into custody at his home on S.W. Varsity Lane around 5:00 pm, on Wednesday.
Port St. Lucie County Sheriff’s deputies said several items were removed from Spengler’s home at the time of the arrest.
An agent of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives of the U.S. Department Justice was present when the arrest took place.
Deputies declined to say whether or not the explosive device had to be detonated.
