Man, Fiancée Ambushed by Ex-Wife

Polk County deputies released more information and photographs of the victims of the double shooting in Lakeland Sunday night.

33-year-old Aimee Streeter is suspected of shooting her estranged husband, Tabarri Clayton, 36, and his current financee, Janice Lucas, 35, after going to their home in Lakeland and ambushing the pair.

Detectives say, between 9:30 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., Streeter ambushed Lucas as she returned home from church.  She shot Lucas multiple times and dragged her into a bedroom where she pretended to be dead.

Clayton who returned to the residence about 20-30 minutes later, was shot by Streeter once in the back.

Investigators also say, Clayton ran from the house seeking help as Streeter fled the scene.

Clayton and Lucas were taken to Lakeland Regional Medical Center. Clayton is in stable condition while Lucas is listed in critical condition.

Aimee Streeter – suspect

Streeter was caught in Huston County in Alabama. She was picked up just before 10:00 a.m. at her residence in Alabama. The vehicle in which Streeter was traveling, a blue Ford Expedition with an Alabama dealer tag, was located in her back yard.

According to investigators, Streeter also goes by the names Aimee Clayton, Aimee Streeter and Aimee Street.

Detectives say, Streeter has a criminal arrest history out of Alabama that includes, assault-domestic violence, arson, theft, and possession of a forged instrument.

Streeter is expected to be brought back to Polk County and formally charged in the double shooting incident.
