A man remains behind bars, accused of almost cutting off his girlfriend’s nose because she refused to have sex with him, Fort Lauderdale Police said, nbcmiami.com reported.
The suspect, 48-year-old Ricardo Salamanca, from Plantation, is charged with aggravated battery causing bodily harm and remains in jail on $75,000 bond.
“The victim’s nose was severed down to the sinus cavity where the victim’s nose was only attached by a thread,” the complaint affidavit said, nbcmiami.com also reported.
Salamanca was booked into the Paul Rein Detention Facility on Tuesday, where he remains.
