A person of interest wanting for questioning in a rape near the House of Blues, Downtown Disney, has been arrested.
Hector M. Herrera, 26, was taken into custody at his residence on an Orange County warrant, deputies said.
Herrera was identified after a citizen called authorities after seeing the surveillance photos released on July 21, by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office on the local news.
While few details have been released on the alleged rape, a woman was discovered naked last Thursday morning by a security worker in some bushes outside the House of Blues and Cirque du Soleil, according to Orange County deputies.
The woman reportedly told deputies that she and a friend and a roommate had consumed two bottles of Redd’s Apple Ale and seven or eight shots of vodka before going to the House of Blues.
The woman also told investigators that she couldn’t remember much beyond leaving the House of Blues. She was found just before 6:00 a.m. on July 16, by the security worker.
Herrera was taken to the Osceola County Jail, after being arrested at his residence earlier today.
