Man Charged with Murder of Ex-girlfriend in Dr. Phillips Area

Kristopher Gould – suspect

A man who deputies say was a person of interest in the murder of his ex-girlfriend last Sunday, has now been charged with her murder.

Orange County deputies have charged Kristofer Gould with first degree murder in the death of Jorgete Acarie, 43 years.

Acarie, was found shot and killed in a home in the 8600 block of Forrest Run Lane in the Dr. Phillips area early on Sunday morning. An activated alarm led investigators to the home around 5:30 a.m., where they found Acarie shot in a bedroom. Investigators won’t say how many times Acarie had been shot, but her 2-year-old son was found unharmed in the residence.

Early in the investigation, Gould was named a person of interest and an arrest warrant was issued for previous domestic incidents stemming from his relationship with Acarie.

Today deputies charged Gould with first degree murder with a firearm in Acarie’s death.
