A Hernando man has been arrested, accused of breaking a baby’s leg because he was angry that, the Xbox game he was playing got interrupted.

Paul Anthony Lajeunesse, 20, admitted to Citrus County investigators that he had just started playing an Xbox game when he was interrupted by the baby’s maternal grandmother to change its diaper.  Lajeunesse said he didn’t intend to break the baby’s leg, but when he went to change the diaper and lifted its leg he heard a “pop” then the child’s leg went limp.

X-rays confirmed that the child’s leg was broken. The infant was released from the hospital with a waist cast after undergoing surgery.

Lajeunesse was arrested and charged with aggravated child abuse. He was ordered to stay away from the infant. His relationship to the baby is unknown.
