A Lake County man has been arrested, accused of carrying on a sexual relationship with a child who he met on the internet.
Bobby Moffitt, 23, of Sorrento was taken into custody and booked into the Lake County Jail on a $23,000 dollar bond.
Lake County deputies, who began their investigation on August 31st say, Moffitt met the child victim on a social networking site where he listed his age as 17.
Moffitt admitted that he lied about his actual age, to circumvent a safeguard on the social networking site that prohibits adults from communicating with children. Â He admitted also to carrying on a sexual relationship with the child victim and also to knowing she was under age, deputies said. Â Moffitt told investigators that he sent inappropriate photographs to the victim via the internet.
Moffitt was charged in a previous indecent incident involving and adult in 2012.
Detectives believe there could be more victims associated with Moffitt.
