An armed man, who held up a cashier at a Publix supermarket last month, has been arrested, Orange County deputies say.
41-year-old Willie Long, Jr., was taken into custody on October 5, and deputies say, he is cooperating with the investigation.
Long is accused of entering the Publix Supermarket at 6551 North Orange Blossom Trail on the evening of September 24, passed a note to one of the cashiers and demanded money. Deputies say, Long implied that he had a weapon.
The cashier handed over an unknown amount of cash and Long fled the supermarket. No one was hurt during the armed robbery.
Long has been charged with robbery with a firearm. He was booked into the Orange County Jail and is being held without a bond.
