A double murder suspect is now in custody and deputies are looking for the suspect’s brother, a person of interest in the double homicide that occurred earlier this month on Orange County’s west side.
Ron Williams, 32, and Amanda Johnson, 27, were gunned down at the Misty Oaks Apartments on West Colonial Drive on August 5. A third woman was seriously injured, but has since been released from the hospital.
Last Saturday, U.S. Marshals and police in Charlotte, North Carolina, arrested David Junior Lopez. He was found at a home in Charlotte, after his vehicle was located the day before.
David Lopez remains locked up in Charlotte. He has been charged with two counts of first degree murder and one count of attempted murder.
Meanwhile, Orange County deputies are searching for 35-year-old Nicholas Lopez. Both David and Nicholas Lopez are brothers.
Deputies say, Nicholas Lopez is a person of interest in the murders of Williams and Johnson and in the attempted murder of the third victim.
Nicholas Lopez may be in the Charlotte area where he has relatives, but detectives believe that he could be back in Orlando. He is 5′ 8″ tall and weighs about 190 pounds.
A third suspect, James Hubert Stewart, 30, was arrested for attempted murder in a case on Magnolia Homes Road. Deputies said, this case is connected to the Misty Oaks double homicide, although no details of Stewart’s involvement have been released.
Anyone with information on Nicholas Lopez’ is urged to call Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS (8477).
