Man Arrested for Shooting Teen on International Drive in Orlando

According to the Orlando Police Department, a man has been charged with aggravated battery with a firearm after shooting a teen on International Drive.

Police said West Patrol Officers responded to the Sonic restaurant at 5399 International Drive on Wednesday, March 8th, 2023, at approximately 10pm. A female victim was shot and transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center in stable condition.




“Thanks to the collaborative efforts of the Violent Crimes Investigations Unit and Fugitive Investigations Unit, the suspect has been identified and apprehended,” OPD posted.

According to local police, Albert Jason Cortes Jr. has been charged with Aggravated Battery with a Firearm.
