A 27-year-old man was arrested and charged for unlawfully recording juvenile victims in a women’s restroom at a Central Florida library.
On February 13th, deputies responded to a call for service at the Lutz Branch Library located at 101 West Lutz Lake Fern Road near Tampa, reporting that a twelve-year-old juvenile noticed 27-year-old Christian Stark in the women’s restroom, filming her with his phone.
On February 14, 2024, detectives conducted a search warrant on Stark’s residence and found that he had numerous images of child pornography on his phone. At that time, Stark was arrested and booked into Orient Road Jail, where he is facing 100 counts of Possession of Child Pornography, 10 or More Images and Content of Images, and one count of Unlawful Use of a Two-Way Communications Device.
Detectives continued this investigation, collecting inculpatory evidence, and were able to add voyeurism charges based on their findings. Detectives found that Stark filmed at least four juveniles in the women’s restroom at the library and filmed himself while he was performing sexual acts on himself.
Stark is now facing additional charges:
- Three counts of Voyeurism
- Three counts of Video Voyeurism (defendant 24 or older and victim less than 16)
- Unlawful Use of a Two-Way Communications Device.
“This suspect’s actions are disgusting. We’re committed to ensuring every child, our most vulnerable, is secure and protected in Hillsborough County,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “I commend our detectives and deputies for working hard on this case to find every piece of this investigation and making sure Stark is behind bars away from harming more children.”
This is still an active investigation, according to local law enforcement.
