Man Arrested for Extensive Fraud Operation in Hillsborough, Sarasota Collaborative Effort

A man was recently arrested for an extensive fraud operation in a collaborative effort between Hillsborough County and Sarasota County.

Through investigative means, detectives discovered 58-year-old Isaac Allen was in possession of hundreds of stolen personal identification documents, credit cards, and checks.

A collaborative effort between the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office and the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office resulted in the arrest of the suspect involved in the extensive fraud operation.

This month, Allen was arrested on multiple outstanding fraud-related warrants. Allen had also assumed numerous identities in an attempt to evade law enforcement.

“This case is a testament to the power of collaboration and the dedication required to tackle complex investigations,” said Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister. “The partnership between our Economic Crimes Section and the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office reflects our shared commitment to bringing justice to those who seek to exploit and defraud our communities. We will continue to work together to ensure accountability and safety for the residents we serve.”

“We are proud to have partnered with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office to bring this person to justice and prevent further victimization of our citizens. Criminals should know that they cannot escape justice by running from one jurisdiction to another — our Economic Crimes Unit will find you,” said Sarasota County Sheriff Kurt A. Hoffman.

This investigation is active, according to local law enforcement.
