The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office made an arrest in the death investigation after a fatal shooting at a Circle K in Thonotosassa.
On January 15th just after 8:30pm, HCSO deputies responded to the Circle K located at 11755 County Road in Thonotosassa for reports of a shooting.
Once on scene, deputies located 37-year-old Paul Strickland with a gunshot wound. Strickland was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Through investigative means, detectives determined two-time convicted felon, 38-year-old Dean Henderson, as the shooter.
Henderson was taken into custody after an arrest warrant was obtained, facing charges of Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Tampering with Physical Evidence.
This is an active investigation, according to local law enforcement.
