Magic Rumored to Build New Complex Displacing Black Businesses

 

 

The Orlando Magic is likely to invest up to $100 million in a sports and entertainment complex, directly across the street from the new Amway Center, according to an Orlando Sentinel report.

Still at an early state of conception, the project will be built on land owend by the City of Orlando at West Church Street and Hughey Avenue in Parramore, where currently several African-American-owned businesses are located and a city parking garage.
