Brook Lopez’s 14 points and 10 rebounds lead the visiting Brooklyn Nets over the Orlando Magic 107-68 Friday night.
Andray Blatche chipped in 15 points while Brook Lopez added 14 points and 10 rebounds.
With no Dwight Howard the Nets Blatche and Lopez dismantled the Magic bigs in the paint.
“It definitely was a focus,” Lopez said of getting the ball inside. “Especially coming off that tough Miami game. We wanted to come out and just hit them right away.”
The Nets outscored the Magic 31-19 in the second quarter, giving them a 50-36 lead at halftime.
Orlando has now dropped three straight after starting the season (2-0).
“You have to be committed to execution,” Vaughn said. “Not every other play, not every fourth play, but every single play. You have to cut hard every single play.”
E’Twaun Moore led the Magic with 18 points and Arron Afflalo chipped in with 12.
“Our main issue is defense,” Aalalo said post game. “We need to give a better effort on both ends.”
The Magic better turn it around quick because they travel to Brooklyn Sunday, tip off set for 3pm.
