It’s only the pre-season but the Orlando Magic should feel encouraged with the play of Glen Davis.
Davis lead the Magic with 21 points on 9 of 14 shooting and 5 rebounds in the 112-96 win over the visiting Indiana Pacers Friday night.
With Howard gone Davis will be able to showcase what he can do as a lead man.
Veteran point guard Jameer Nelson finished with 15 points and 7 assists followed by J.J Redick’s 12 points.
Former North Carolina standout Tyler Hansbrough lead the Pacers with 23 points, shooting 60 percent from the field.
The Magic reserves outscored Indiana’s bench 51-46.
Orlando shot 54.9 percent from the field compared to Indiana’s 40.4 percent.
