Magic end long losing Skid

Nikola Vucivic’s 17 points and 19 rebounds led the Magic to a 110-104 victory over the Portland Trailblazers Sunday night.

Jammer Nelson shot only (4-18) from the field but dished out 15 assists to go along with 10 points.

The win at home over Portland snaps the Magics 12 game losing streak.

Portland who are (5-5) in their last 10 have now dropped 3 straight.

The Blazers could not find an answer for the Magics pick and roll.

“The way we guarded it,’’ Portland’s JJ Hickson said. “I don’t feel like we adjusted to it very well. It was something that just killed us all night, all game.’’

JJ Redick chipped in 22 points and dished out 5 dimes. Redick who dropped 29 on the Blazers early in the season seems to have the right offensive game plan against this team.

“Just played my game,” Redick said post game. “Trying to go out and make the right plays for my team.”

It’s no secret that Redick is on a lot of teams radar and he could really contribute to a team that’s on the verge of a title but the Magic really want to hold on to him.

Orlando looks to win two in a row as they face the Hawks at how this Wednesday, tip-off set for 7pm.

  1. I am so very happy for the Orlando MAGIC and its “BIG WIN”! We, at Hi-Tech Tutoring Center, Inc., are still PRAISING them for the “MAKE-OVER” and improving our tutoring/mentor center for at-risk, disadvantaged “KIDS” who need after-school help with homework. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK AND WIN MANY MORE!
