Joe Johnson’s 22 points led the Nets to a 98-86 win over the Orlando Magic Friday night.
Brooklyn was without center Brook Lopez due to a mild right foot sprain.
Gerald Wallace finished with 20 points followed by Deron Williams 11 points and 7 assists.
“I think we just got a little more focused,” said Deron Williams, who finished with 11 points. “We came in and talked as a team. Our team wasn’t where we were supposed to be defensively in the first half.”
The Magic have dropped three straight and are now (3-7) in their last 10 games.
Glen Davis led Orlando with 16 points.
The Magic struggled from beyond the arc, going 1-11 on the night and 44% from the field.
“I think we had good looks tonight from 3 that just didn’t go in and that happens,” Magic coach Jacque Vaughn said.
The Magic look to snap the three game losing streak against Dwight Howard and the Lakers Sunday. Tip off set for 9:30pm.
