Local Teen Honored by Steinway Society of Central Florida

On Sunday, May 19th, Joseph Styles, the very talented 17-year-old A/B Honor Student performed a classical piece by Chopin (Nocturne in E-Flat Major) at the Steinway Society of Central Florida Piano Gifting Celebration in Altamonte Springs. This particular young man was also awarded a new piano along with five other recipients of various ages.

Kat Gordon, Orange County School Board representative, who was in the audience of standing room only attendees said, she is very supportive of the arts and applauded Joseph’s extraordinary talent.

Jazz Singer Jacqueline Jones, also present at yesterday’s function, spoke very highly of Joseph, saying she had seen him perform recently at the Pine Hills Performing Community Arts Center and was very impressed. “This young man has a great gift for music and I plan on seeing him in concert one day at Carnegie Hall,” she said.
