The “Portraits of Hunger” Showcase took place last Friday at Enzian’s Eden Bar. Photographs chosen by Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida’s competition were showcased and a winner was announced.
Portraits of Hunger started in 2006 as a way to engage the community in bringing visibility to the invisible problem and possible solutions of hunger. Through this event, photographers of all abilities have gone out into their community to capture images that tell the story of hunger in Central Florida.
The 2011 Portraits of Hunger winner is Samantha Durand for her photograph titled: Fruit of Hope. Her photograph will be displayed at Enzian Theater throughout the month of October.
