Local Businesses Sponsor Benefit Event for Casselberry Shooting Victims

The auto accident and personal injury law firm of Michael T. Gibson, P.A. (www.autojusticeattorney.com) in partnership with the Darcy Johnson Foundation and several other local businesses will sponsor the first annual Community Outreach ‘QUE HAGO’ event on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 5626 Curry Ford Road, Orlando from 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM. In conjunction with the event, there will be a press conference held at 11:00 AM with the families of the shooting victims to discuss their willingness to work towards tougher domestic violence laws.

“As a member of the community, and as someone whose family knew a number of the victims involved, our hearts were broken by the unspeakable tragedy suffered at the Las Dominicanas M&M Salon in Casselberry on October 18, 2012. As someone who works with victims of tragedy and loss frequently, I always admire victims who can take a tragedy in their life and use it as a mechanism to help others not suffer the same.  That is why I have pledged my ongoing support to helping these victims’ families advocate for tougher domestic violence laws.  I hope that the members of our community will join my family and our firm in helping provide comfort and support to these families and stand up for victims of domestic violence everywhere,” said attorney Michael T. Gibson.

All of the proceeds raised at the event will be donated to the families of the shooting victims that were tragically gunned down at the Las Dominicanas M&M Salon in Casselberry on October 18, 2012, leaving three women dead and one in critical condition.

The event will raise awareness of domestic violence, tragic accidents and other legal and medical issues in our community.

The Darcy J. Foundation has partnered with the auto accident and personal injury law firm of Michael T. Gibson, P.A., Dr. David Shaw D.C., Carlos Colon and other key professionals and businesses in Central Florida to help make this possible. The event will provide more than 50 experts from various professional fields to address the legal, health, educational, physical and emotional needs of our youth and families, with the goal of assisting victims of tragic accidents.

Event attendees will have access to legal and medical panel discussions, international cuisine, exhibition booths, domestic violence information, financial advisors, networking breaks and parallel sessions where specific immigration issues will be discussed. If you are a local business interested in becoming an event sponsor, please contact Carlos Colon at (407) 233-0330 or JR Alvarez at (407) 484-3914.
