Universal Auto Body Service a member of the National Auto Body Council (NABC), has committed to participate in a national vehicle donation program called Recycled Rides. This program is a community awareness project whereby members of NABC repair and donate recycled vehicles to families in need.
Recycled Rides is scheduled to make donations throughout the country every year. “Our goal is to help people in our local community,” states Tom Ramsammy. “We decided to utilize the NABC program because they have a great philosophy and support tools which walk us through the entire process. Together we can have an effect right here in our community and across the country.”
Tom Ramsammy continues: “Each year, collision repair operators all over the country come across cars that are in need of some TLC or mechanical and body work to get them road ready and safe to drive. Why are these cars going to waste when there are people who really need them? We decided to join in on this national effort and located a nice 2006 Suzuki Forenza generously donated by an insurance company we work with, coupled with the Team at Universal Auto Body who worked diligently, and with great pride to complete this vehicle for a family or individual in Central Florida.
Due to overwhelming support from the Community and Businesses, we have extended awarding the Vehicle to a recipient(s) until Friday, November 15, 2013.
Community Food and Outreach Center will be helping Universal Auto Body Services (Orlando, Oviedo and Clermont), along with Flagler Collision locate an individual or a family. “We are excited about participating in Recycled Rides,” states Mark Perez. “Universal Auto Body Services and Flagler Collision has a long history of helping those in need in our community and we’re proud to be a part of this program. We’ll work diligently to find the perfect match for this donation.”
We encourage anyone you may know or yourself, or choose to sponsor/nominate someone you believe is in need, please go to Universal Auto Body Facebook page to learn details on how to enter and submit your story. Deadline for entries is November 1st, 2013 and the selected recipient will be given their vehicle on November 15th, 2013 at the Community Food & Outreach Center on Michigan Street, Orlando.
