The days of Michael Jordan vs. Dominique Wilkins, Vince Carter vs. Tracy McGrady hell even Kobe Bryant (in his rookie year) vs. Chris Carr are over.

However, last night with a late surge, Terrence Ross of the Toronto Raptors and Jeremy Evans of the Utah Jazz put on a show.

Ross jumped over a young kid in the finals, but to add flair he dunked between the legs.

“I told him the day before that I was going to jump over him, but I never told him I was going to go through the legs,” Ross said. “He was kind of nervous.”

Gerald Green and James White, thought to be two of the nights favorites to win it kind of, well no they definitely disappointed.

In the three point shoot out, Cleveland Cavaliers All-Star point guard Kyrie Irving stole the show, for the second straight night.

Players had one minute to take 25 3-point shots from five positions around the arc. Bonner had the highest score of the six players in the first round (19), but didn’t hit enough to beat Kyrie in the finals.

“It’s just about earning everyone’s respect, that’s important to me,” Kyrie said afterwards.

You can watch this young kid on television and see he’s special but in person? “Child Please,” as Chad Johnson would say. Irving hasn’t yet made Cleveland say “LeBron who” yet, but he’s a shinning light.

The team of Miami’s Chris Bosh, Hall of Famer Dominique Wilkins and WNBA star Swin Cash won the Shooting Stars competition, which kicked off the night.

Bosh’s group beat the team of Oklahoma City guard Russell Westbrook, Maya Moore of the WNBA and former Houston Rocket Robert Horry.

Each team had two minutes to make shots from six different locations on the court.

It’s pretty cool to watch legends and today’s All-Stars compete in something so fun!

In the Skills competition, Portland rookie Damian Lillard beat Philadelphia guard Jrue Holiday in the final round to win.

The competition involves players dribbling through a circuit, taking a 3-point shot, hitting targets with passes and driving for a layup.

“I was just looking to get into a groove, wanted to make sure I knocked down the jumper,” Lillard said to me after winning.

This year the NBA adjusted the scoring format for the All-Star skills Challenge, with teams representing the East and West competing for charities.

The Western Conference beat the East 140-125. The West earned $350,000 for charity and the East earned $150,000.
