Little Lambs to Host Fashion Show

God’s Little Lambs Day Care Learning Center is hosting a Fashion Show on December 17, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. at the Bahia Shrine in hopes to raise funds to purchase a new 15 seat passenger van, playground equipment, and educational books that correlate to the ABEKA and WEE learning curriculums that the center uses.

Headed by Judith Shealey, the Little Lambs has been a beacon for its Pine Hills community by educating and caring for 6 weeks to 12 years old children in a positive learning environment that helps to develop their cognitive, learning, emotional, physical, spiritual, and social development. The center also offers after school tutoring, voice and piano lessons, use of their computer lab, karate, field trips, Spanish lessons, Bible study, dancing, and other various activities.

God’s Little Lambs Day Care has been in the Pine Hills community for the last 15 years and has been involved in community rallies to improve the Pine Hills neighborhoods, participated in giving away Thanksgiving packages during the holiday, and has even paid light bills and rent of people who were in dire need of additional help. However, now the daycare is in need of the same generosity that it has bestowed on its community. The GLLC Fashion Show is in its second year and they have received interest from such corporations like Neiman Marcus, Tiffany and Company, Walmart, and Suit City of Orlando, all of whom have donated prizes to be raffled off at the event.

Shealey says, “We take the children to such places like the Science Center and the children are in awe when they see a dinosaur, we take them to the museum because sometimes their parents do not have the time to take them. I believe giving them these experiences helps to shape their future.”
