A Los Angeles judge on Tuesday sentenced Lindsay Lohan to ninety days in jail after she ruled that the actress/model was in violation of the terms of her probation.
Judge Marsha Revel obviously did not buy Lohan’s tearful pleas when she addressed the court, saying “I thought I was in compliance with the program”.
Lohan, 24 years, was ordered to attend alcohol classes once a week, after violating her probation in a DUI case, but missed several classes. She told the judge that she “did the best she could to balance jobs and showing up (for classes)”.
Shedding tears before Judge Revel, Lohan said that she was “not just missing classes, but working with children”. Whatever that meant.
Lohan, who missed nine AA classes, was at times off to New York attending a Haiti benefit and also in Morocco partying.
Revel ordered Lohan to report to jail in two weeks and wear an angle bracelet until she surrenders.
Following her jail time, Lohan has been ordered to do another 90 days in an in-patient substance abuse program.
