Marion County residents got a nasty surprise Saturday night as a home was set ablaze in flames after a lightning strike, officials say.
Firefighters said they responded to a 911 call from the homeowner around 9:30 p.m.
When crews got on scene, flames could be seen coming from the roof of the home. It took firefighters roughly 40 minutes to knock down the fire, WFTV.com reports.
