Two local organizations recently teamed up to feed hope for Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida, just in time for the holidays.
Between October 25th and November 11th, staff at Lighthouse Central Florida and its Lighthouse Works division hosted a canned food drive to collect nonperishable items for the food bank.
In total, Lighthouse team members were able to help provide nearly 100 meals for neighbors experiencing hunger.
“We’ve partnered with Second Harvest in the past to spotlight the impact of not knowing where your next meal will come from,” said Kyle Johnson, President and CEO of Lighthouse Central Florida. “With inflation impacting many household budgets, we wanted to make it easier for families to enjoy a holiday meal.”
