Life Worth Living Pharmacy to Host “Spring into Health” Fair

Life Worth Living Pharmacy will host their first Spring Into Health Fair this Saturday April 2nd, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.  We’ve partnered with the Big Red Bus and we’ll also be doing a blood drive.  This year’s fair is our way of getting involved in the community, by bringing Health and Wellness Education to the Metro West Community. We’ll have a  Fire Department engine on site and lots of information from Orange County Health Department to share with the community.

This year’s event will be a “Spring into Health” with a focus on lectures and screenings centered around living a health lifestyle.  We will have a Senior Village, Kids Center, CPR training, informational lectures, health screenings and refreshments.

At the Health & Wellness Fair we’re trying to address six areas of wellness:

physical wellness, intellectual wellness, social wellness, emotional wellness, vocational wellness, mind/body wellness and environmental wellness. We will also be combining efforts with Nursing Homes and Assisted Living Facilities to provide an outing for seniors that day.

We are expecting approximately 300 people to attend the Health & Wellness Fair this year.

If you need to earn CE Credits, we will be providing CPR certification at our Health Fair at a 50% discount.   If you would like to learn CPR then the training is free.

We have a Senior Village, filled with  activities, gifts and prizes.

Ladies, are being treated to a special area – where they can get information about hormone replacement therapy, vitamins, weight loss information and much more.

Parents,  have a special pediatric area complete with a Baby Nurse on site and lots of giveaways from Similac.  She trains babies to sleep through the night by 4 months.  She’s amazing…a real baby whisperer!!   She’s doing a seminar on the first few months, breast feeding, formula or non formula, scheduling and night sleeping habits!

It’s Yes! Performing Arts Institute will be performing their dance on child trafficking titled “Innocent Can’t You See” meant to educate parents and children about the dangers of child trafficking.  Our kids area will also feature a puppet show.

Pastor Rosemarie Roth will be there to share information on disaster preparedness, feeding the elderly, marital survival, community resources… and she’ll tell you how to get a free wedding.

We’ll also have amazing steel pan music from Orlando Powerstars.

We’ll be grilling hot dogs and hamburgers all day long, so join us this Saturday, April 2nd from 10am – 3pm.
