A Miami Beach man is facing charges for tying his son to a pole while he went out to the store.

NBC Miami reports, Adolfo Guzman, 49, was arrested Sunday, according to a Miami Beach Police report released Monday. He was being held on $50,000 bond and it was unknown whether he has an attorney.

Guzman had been concerned when his 12-year-old son disappeared for a few hours the day before and “warned him he would tie him up if he continued to wander off,” the report said.
