“Laying Where No One Can See”, Back By Popular Demand

Back by popular demand on Friday, April 3, 2009, Shine Performing And Creative Arts Presents an encore performance of the stage production, “Laying Where No One Can See.”  The overwhelmingly positive buzz from parents and students following January’s performances at Wekiva and Evans High Schools compelled the young playwright Paris Crayton III and Shine Performing and Creative Arts, Founder/President, Reverend Michael Kimbrough to acquire an even bigger venue. Therefore, The Rock Church located at 5515 W. Irlo Bronson Memorial (Hwy I92), Kissimmee, Florida 34746 was selected for the third presentation due to the 4,000 seat capacity.

“Laying Where No One Can See” is the story of four young women who have been best friends since early childhood, who move into an apartment together. After meeting two handsome young men who live next door, their lives are sent on a life altering, roller coaster ride. Tre, the smooth talking ladies man, convinces each one of the young women that he was made just for them. As they begin to fall for him, friendships are tested, and lives are changed. Secrets are revealed as these friends struggle with pointing the blame on each other, instead of searching themselves to take responsibility for their own actions.

Paris Crayton III’s stage play offers a universal story to entertain, educate and minister to all ethnic groups with issues facing teens, young adults and their families around this country everyday. The ever increasing statistics on HIV/AIDS, Teen Pregnancy and abortions cross all color lines. Shine believes that this play will push the hearts of many to take responsibility and to be tested, take precautions and make wiser choices when it comes to relationships and friends. This dynamic cast of creative people pulls the audience in so deeply, it is easy to forget this is a performance, because the issues and emotions are so real.  It also opens the lines of communications between parents and teen/young adults on subjects that many are afraid to discuss.

This play provides such a powerful message, that it must be shared beyond Central Florida. The goal is to create a national tour to inform and transform our youth across this country with the stage production of “Laying Where No One Can See.”  Shine was established by a group of concerned citizens who decided to make a difference by providing an alternative outlet for the talented and creative young people in our community.  Some of whom may be in need of a little encouragement to live their dream despite the accelerated crime rate crippling our youth.

Shine invites the community to get involved in their performing arts program as an event sponsor, vendor, volunteer or a tax deductible donation to help get this tour on the road.
