Ireland Nugent, the little girl who lost her legs when her father accidentally backed over them with a lawnmower, got to meet Winter, the dolphin with the prosthetic tail who has become a folk hero to amputees everywhere, on Saturday.
Ireland Nugent has often been seen clutching a stuffed animal of Winter, the dolphin with a prosthetic tail, in her wheelchair since the April 11 accident. She even carried the toy with her when she left the hospital nearly a month after the accident, News 96.5 reports.
