Eleven Sheriffs and 3 former Sheriffs from throughout the state of Florida yesterday announced their support for gubernatorial candidate Alex Sink. As CFO, Alex Sink oversees more than 300 hundred sworn law enforcement officers, with her accredited Division of Insurance Fraud and as the State Fire Marshal.
Baker County Sheriff Joey Dobson and Alachua County Sheriff Sadie Darnell made the following statements of endorsement.
Baker County Sheriff Joey Dobson:
“I am proud to join Sheriffs from throughout Florida in supporting Alex Sink for Governor. Under her leadership, her Law Enforcement Accredited Division of Insurance Fraud has become one of the most effective in the country. That’s not easy to do, and it further demonstrates CFO Sink’s commitment to protecting Floridians and her understanding of the kind of support needed for law enforcement officials to do our jobs.”
Alachua County Sheriff Sadie Darnell:
“I think it’s about time we get a real leader like Alex Sink in the Governor’s office. Tallahassee is full of career politicians that worry too much about themselves and not enough about the Floridians that elected them. I am proud to be supporting Alex Sink because I trust her and believe she is the kind of no non-sense leader Florida needs.”
