As part of a national effort, Orange County Law Enforcement joins a collaborative effort with the DEA, Orange County Coalition for a Drug Free Community and other agencies in a first-ever National Prescription Take Back Day on September 25, 2010.
Sheriff Jerry L. Demings will team up with Jeffrey T. Walsh Assistant Special Agent in Charge of the DEA Orlando District Office, Orange Osceola Chief Medical Examiner Jan Garavaglia, Orlando Police Chief Val Demings and other law enforcement officials in kicking off this local effort of a national endeavor to make our homes safer and also remove potentially addicting drugs from the reach of others.
Prescription drug abuse is the Nation’s fastest-growing drug problem.
