Law Enforcement Agencies Ramp Up DUI Patrols for Halloween Weekend

Over the Halloween weekend, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office will partner with other law enforcement agencies, to undertake a multi-jurisdictional DUI Saturation Patrol Operation.

This DUI saturation roving patrol operation is scheduled between 6:00 p.m. Thursday, October 30, through 6:00 a.m. Sunday, November 2, or with times set by each agency.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office B.A.T. Mobile Unit will be deployed, Friday, October 31, from 9:00 p.m to 4:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 1. It will be located at 12180 East Colonial Drive in Orlando.  Two transport vans will be available to transport arrestees to the Booking and Release Center.

High profile DUI Saturation Patrol Operations have been a valuable tool to law enforcement. The objective of this operation is to educate the motoring public and to safely remove suspected DUI offenders and criminal traffic violators from the highways by mobile high visibility traffic enforcement tactics.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office will partner with a number of other agencies, including Orlando Police Department, Winter Park Police Department, Winter Garden Police Department and Windermere Police Department.
