Lamar Endorsed by Osceola Law Enforcement

 

State Attorney Lawson Lamar

The three top law enforcement officers in Osceola County have all endorsed Lawson Lamar for State Attorney, Orange/Osceola County.

Osceola County Sheriff Bob Hansell, Kissimmee Police Chief Fran Iwanski and St. Cloud Police Chief Pete Gauntlett each gave their support in video testimony at an Osceola Supports Lawson Lamar event earlier this week.

“The leadership he has shown is irreplaceable,” Sheriff Hansell said. “This is the time when we don’t need people learning on the job.”

Chief Gauntlett added: “He has been a hard-charging front line leader, both in combating crime and prosecuting crime. We need leaders like Lawson.”

“He has the integrity to do the job, the knowledge and management experience,” said Iwanski. “I will always support Lawson Lamar.”

The event was held at the Cattlemen’s Association headquarters and featured many of the community’s top leaders.

“I’m very proud of the support show by Osceola County this weekend and especially the support of these three great law enforcement officials,” Lamar said of the endorsements.  “We work hand-in-hand keeping Osceola County safe.”

Lawson, who has held the position of State Attorney for the last 24 years, faces former prosecutor Jeff Ashton in a Democratic primary election on August 14th.   The winner of this race with be the State Attorney for Orange/Osceola County for the next four years.
