A 29-year-old teacher at the Central Florida Aerospace Academy in Lakeland has been charged with having sex with one of her underage students.
Jennifer Christine Fichter was taken into custody at her home in Davenport on Monday night, according to The Ledger. She was charged with six counts of unlawful sexual activity with a minor. Fichter and a 17-year-old student have been having sex since November 2013, according to a Lakeland Police Department report, the paper reported.
During a phone call on Monday night which was recorded by police, Fichter admitted that the two had sex 20 or 30 times in her apartment and in her pickup at parking lots throughout Polk County and Hillsborough County. Fichter also admitted that she had an abortion after becoming pregnant by the teen and that she loved him and still wanted to be with him, according to reports.
Fichter was arrested shortly after the phone call and booked into the Polk County Jail.
The boy also admitted to his involvement with Fischer and that the pair did have sex on multiple occasions.
