Florida lottery officials recently announced a Groveland resident won $1 million from a 500X THE CASH scratch-off lottery ticket. The winning was sold in Leesburg.
Cynthia Jackubowski, from Lake County, reportedly decided to take a one-time, lump sum of $820,000 instead of multiple payments for more money.
Lottery officials said the winning ticket was sold at a Quick Stop located at 1200 West Main Street. For selling winning lottery tickets, businesses get a bonus commission too.
There have been a few Central Florida millionaire winners lately, including a Volusia County resident from DeLand, a Seminole County resident from Sanford, and another Seminole County resident from Longwood, and another Lake County man from Astatula.
