Park rangers will guide hikers through the park identifying the numerous plant species that inhabit the property. Rangers will also point out how the park is being managed for Florida Scrub Jays and its diverse wildlife population of reptiles, mammals and birds.
Participants are encouraged to wear appropriate clothing and footwear for the moderate hike. Park rangers also recommend bringing insect repellent, sunscreen, water and a snack.
The free hike is limited to the first 25 reservations. For more information or to make reservations for the guided nature hike, call Lake County Parks & Trails at (352) 253-4950 or e-mail [email protected].
