Lake County Principal Arrested on DUI Charges

The principal of St. Paul’s Catholic School in Leesburg was arrested for drunk driving, Marion County Sheriff’s Office said.

Mary Staley, 53, bonded out of jail on Sunday evening after being arrested for crashing while driving drunk.

Staley hit a car while she was trying to cross State Road 40 in Ocala early on Sunday morning, according to a Florida Highway Patrol report.

Staley has been the principal at St. Paul’s Catholic School since July 2011, according to news reports.
