Lady Lake Parks & Recreation Presents Survivor: Mother/Son Edition

The Town of Lady Lake is putting a new and creative spin on the classic Mother/Son dance idea, asking pairs to team up for a rugged, outdoor game of Survivor complete with mental and physical challenges.

Survivor: Mother/Son Edition is presented by the Lady Lake Parks and Recreation Department and will be held on Saturday, May 4th from 10am – 2pm beneath the shady oaks of Snooky Park, 120 W. Lady Lake Blvd.

Courageous mothers (and maternal figures) alongside their adventurous sons ages 6-17 should be prepared to outwit, outplay, and outlast the competition for a chance to bring home prizes for their combined skills. Games include everything from rubber ax throwing, Velcro wall, giant lawn bowling, memory games and more – but don’t worry – bug eating is not required.

“We want to provide a different take on the mother/son dances many cities host this time of year,” said Amy Alicea, Lady Lake Events Coordinator. “We invite you to join us for a day of epic challenges and bonding experiences as you navigate through a series of exciting games. There will be games for all ages as well as challenges broken down by age groups so the little ones can join in the fun. The event also includes a delicious picnic-style lunch of burgers, hot dogs, and more to refuel your energy.”

Tickets must be purchased in advance for $10 per person at Lady Lake Town Hall, the Lady Lake Library or by calling 352-205-2826. Space is limited to ensure the best possible experience for participants.

Let the games begin!
