Kissimmee Man Dies Following Motorcycle Crash

A Kissimmee man riding a Kawasaki motorcycle died on Sunday, following a crash on State Road 436 (south Semoran Boulevard) near Lake Margaret Drive early on Saturday morning, Orlando Police officers said.

According to police, David G. Frost, 51 years, of Gardenia Road in Kissimmee was traveling south around 12:02 am on Saturday morning on State Road 436 (south Semoran Boulevard), approaching the intersection at Lake Margaret Drive.   A 2010 Dodge van, driven by Oesoep M. Rachman, 52 years, of St. Maarten, was stopped in the northbound left turn lane on State Road 436 at Lake Margaret Drive.

Rachman told police that when the left turn signal turned green he attempted to make a u-turn to go south on State Road 436.  During the course of his turn, Rachman advised that Frost’s motorcycle stuck the right rear of his Dodge van.  Frost was partially ejected from the motorcycle and was pinned underneath.

Frost was transported to the Florida Hospital East, then subsequently airlifted to the Orlando Regional Medical Center with life threatening injuries.  Frost died of his injuries on Sunday afternoon.

Police said that no charges are pending against Rachman.

Frost’s death brings the number of traffic homicides in Orlando to 15.
