Kiera Wilmot, the 16-year-old Bartow High School straight ‘A’ student who was arrested over a failed science experiment that resulted in a small explosion on school grounds last month, continues to garner strong support from all over the world.
Nearly 200,000 persons have signed an online petition in support of Wilmot and many shared the view that both police and educators overreacted to the situation, the Orlando Sentinel reported.
Wilmot’s attorney believes her case will be resolved this week, without felony charges, and she will be allowed to return to Bartow High School, the paper also reported.
