Junior Achievement of Central Florida Selects Shining Stars

Junior Achievement of Central Florida recently selected seven students as “Shining Stars” (or show hosts) for the 36th annual Mid-Florida Business Hall of Fame. During the event, JA will induct three laureates who have made extraordinary contributions to the Central Florida area. Laureates include Dr. John Hitt, Joan Ruffier and James M. Seneff.

In addition, a Spirit of Achievement Award will be presented to an exceptional business and civic leader who has made a tremendous impact in the community. This year’s recipient is Harold Mills.

The event will be held on Wednesday, November 13, from 6 – 9 p.m., at the Rosen Centre Hotel on International Drive.

The “Shining Stars” play a major part in the event and serve in various capacities including, inducting the honorees, co-hosting the event and other roles throughout the evening.

Outlined below are all the “Shining Stars” for this year’s event:

  • Trip Carson, fourth grade, Blankner K-8 School – inducting Joan Ruffier, community leader and CPA
  • Ariella Silver, eighth grade, Teague Middle School – presenting Harold Mills, chief executive officer of ZeroChaos, with the Spirit of Achievement Award
  • Brock Seneff, fourth grade, The Geneva School – inducting James M. Seneff , founder and executive chairman of CNL (grandson and grandfather).
