Junior Achievement honors Central Florida’s business leaders

Junior Achievement (JA) of Central Florida recently honored six Central Florida business leaders for exceptional service to JA and to the community. JA is dedicated to educating students about workforce readiness, free enterprise, entrepreneurship and financial literacy.

The following received the National Bronze Leadership Award:

· David Epstein, retired partner, James Moore & Company

· Marlin Hutchens, market vice president, Walgreens, Orlando

The following received the National Silver Leadership Award:

· Lee Bennett, partner, GaryRobinson, P.A.

· Derryl Benton, senior vice president of business development, Hudson News Airport Retail

· Michel Champagne, vice president of operations (Orlando Region), Bright House Networks

· Charlie Rogers, vice president/commercial loan officer, Florida Traditions Bank

“For nearly 100 years combined, these leaders have played an integral part in JA and its impact in the community,” said Deborah Morris, acting president of JA of Central Florida. “We are honored to recognize them for their commitment to serving Central Florida youth.”
