The Orange County Sheriff’s Office Agricultural Crimes Unit, Marine Patrol Unit, Reserve Unit and Evening Traffic Unit will be conducting high-profile high-visibility safety operations and patrols to reduce unlawful activity at county parks and lakes on the 4th of July holiday.

July 4th is one of the busiest times of the year for those who use the parks and waterways in Orange County. But, along with the increased boating activity comes consumption of alcoholic beverages creating a higher risk of danger to the public.

The goal of high-visibility operation is to zero in on BUI detection and prevention, enforce Florida state boating laws and deter criminal activity. It’s all part of an ongoing effort to create a safe and secure environment for citizens who enjoy using county parks and waterways.
