The man convicted of shooting and severely injuring a 15-year-old girl, will not get a new trial.
Tyrone Mosby was denied a new trial by an Orange County judge on Thursday, according to news reports.
Mosby was found guilty on March 15, of shooting and severely injuring 15-year-old Daniel Sampson as she rode along in the family vehicle, after leaving church in the Pine Hills area.
Mosby, 20, claimed, there is new evidence which witnesses presented to jurors in the area where they were deliberating and so he ought to get a new trial. But the judge didn’t buy it.
It is unclear when Mosby will be sentenced.
Sampson, now 16, who was struck in the head, was severely injured and now lives in a coma.
