The perjury case against Shellie Zimmerman, the wife of George Zimmerman, can move forward, a judge ruled on Tuesday afternoon, according to myfoxorlando.com.
Shellie Zimmerman, is accused of lying to the Court at a bond hearing of her husband in April, last year.
Prosecutors say, at the time Shellie portrayed the couple as having no financial means, when in fact she had a conversation with George in code about their finances.  They also say, approximately $135,000 was transferred from George’s legal fund to his personal bank account.
George Zimmerman is charged with second degree murder in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin, 17, an unarmed black teen. Â Zimmerman has pleaded not guilty saying he shot Martin in self-defense.
