A New York woman who made racist comments on her jury questionnaire will now do indefinite jury duty, according to a federal judge.
Identified as Juror No. 799, a twenty-something year-old Asian woman, when asked to name three people whom she least admired, wrote on her questionnaire: “African-Americans, Hispanics and Haitians.”
The woman named these groups because she said, “You always hear about them doing in the news doing something.”
“This is an outrage, and so are you!” an irate Federal Judge Nicholas Garaufis said to the woman, waving her juror questionnaire in the air.
The woman also thrashed the New York Police Department (NYPD), suggesting that cops are lazy and use their sirens to bypass traffic, reports nydailynews.com.
