Juan Lynum, candidate for City Commissioner District 5 will hold a Town Hall discussion on Tuesday March 18th at the Crowne Plaza Hotel located at 304 West Colonial Drive in Downtown Orlando. The event will start promptly at 6pm and will run until 7:30 pm.

“We need a real good discussion about gentrification and the development that is changing the face of our community,” said Lynum.

According to Lynum, some District 5 residents are highly concerned about the shift in their community toward other wealthier residents of Central Florida and business owners and believe this shift may not be in the best interest of those who currently own and occupy the area.

The Lynum campaign wants residents to leave this Town Hall discussion with information they can use to help them make the absolute best decisions possible for their families and community. Lynum adds, “While debates are ideal for certain situations, this is not one of them. A debate will not give the community the time it needs to know the candidate and their positions.”

Lynum adds, “We need a good one-on-one discussion because there are so many issues residents of District 5 are facing today.”

In addition to Lynum, there are two other candidates in the race for the City Commissioner District 5 seat – Regina Hill and Cynthia Harris.
