A teacher at Jones High School was arrested Tuesday, accused of engaging in sexual activity with a 16-year-old student, Orlando police said.
57-year-old Hugh F. Broomes was taken into custody around 5:30 p.m., today.
Police say, Broomes had sex with the girl ten times between November 2012 and March 2013. Â It is not clear whether the teenage was a student of Broomes.
Broomes has been charged with 10 counts of sexual battery to a child and unlawful sexual activity with a minor. Â He was booked into the Orange County Jail around 7:30 p.m., and is being held without bond.
Police said, the investigation is ongoing. Â
